If friends were flowers

It's Bellarific Friday!  Time for a project for Stamping Bella.  I've used the sweet Uptown Girl "Pippa Loves To Plant" stamp along with last week's challenge sketch.

Sketch-10---may-23

I changed up the placement of the sentiment a bit.  Didn't want to completely cover up the diagonal cut.  I used my Memory Box Fabulous Phlox die to cut my flowers from white paper then I colored them with Copics.  The woodgrain background was made form a brand new stamp I picked up at half off from Michael's.  It's Heidi Swapp and measure 5.25" square.  Nice to not have to try to piece it together for coverage.  I popped the diagonal panels up on foam dots so that Pippa is recessed.

Hope you'll pop over to Blogabella to see what my team mates have cooked up for the sketch challenge.  Here's next week's inspirational photo for the next challenge.

A new home

It's the second Thursday of the month so it's time for a new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil.  Our lovely Elaine has chosen a theme of "Graduation or New Beginnings".  I've used one of Mo's "Tall Houses" on my card to create a housewarming card.  Some great Simple Stories papers give it a bit of vintage feel.

There's an extra week between this challenge and the next so you have three whole weeks to find a great Mo image and play along for your chance at a $5.00 gift certificate to Mo's store or a nod as one of our Top 3 picks.  Come play along!
Thank you all so much for your well wishes yesterday.  It's wonderful to be feeling better and more like myself.  A special thanks for those of you who have sent up prayers for me.  I know God's hand has been on me from beginning.  Yesterday I cooked supper AND baked a couple of things, something I haven't felt like tackling in a while.  Energy!  WOW!  It was great.  LOL
Hope you all have a fabulous Thursday.  Stay tuned tomorrow for some Stamping Bella fun.

SugarPea Designs "Make It Masculine" Challenge

Bet you all thought I had fell off the face of the earth.  It's felt like it at times.  LOL  I've been getting some answers and solutions to all my health woes.  Hormonal changes have made me a basket case with anxiety so I'm on some low dose meds for that.  They didn't like me much at first and I really didn't like them, but thankfully things have seemed to even out and hopefully will continue to.  My scope revealed an ulcer which was no surprise with all the anxiety, so we're treating that too.  My daughter had surgery yesterday on top of all my problems so as you can see it's been a bit busy around my house.  Hasn't left me much time or in much inclination to be crafty or get on the computer, but I feel like the path has taken a turn for the better and I hope to be feeling lots more like my old self soon.  Forgive my slow visits.  I'm working on it little by little.
Now, it's time for a new challenge at SugarPea Designs!  This time we want to see your "Masculine" creations.

For my card I've used the cute little nerdy guy from the My Hero stamp set.  He's just SUPER!

Guesting for My Sheri Crafts

Hi everyone!  Today I'm sharing a card with you that I created as a Guest Designer for the My Sheri Crafts Challenge.  I was lucky enough to be asked to be their Guest Designer for challenge #133 which is "April Showers Bring May Flowers".  Thanks for having me Sheri!

Sheri and the team want to see at least three flowers on your card.  Please excuse my glaring ones.  My blooms were sprayed with Glimmer Mist and all that sparkle seems to have grabbed the light and bounced it.  I created them using a Nestabilities Dahlia die set, the spray, and a bit of water.  They're the icing on this sweet birthday card made with Art Impressions Stamps "Cupcake BFF's" stamp set.

I don't think there could possibly be a crafter out there without flowers in their stash so grab at least three and come join in the fun at My Sheri Crafts!

Supplies:
Paper--Crate Paper "Party Day", Bazzill, Recollections, Copic XPress-it Blending card
Stamps--Art Impressions "Cupcake BFF's"
Ink--Memento Tuxedo Black, Candlelight Glimmer Mist
Tools--MFT Die-namics Fancy Flourish and Fishtail Flag Stax, Memory Box Tender Leaves die, Nestabilities Dahlia dies, sewing machine

Tea-riffic!

Welcome to the new challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil!  I get to host this weeks theme and I've picked "Whimsical" and used Mo's amazing "Hatter" for my card.  I decided to do him in pencils and use some bright colors.  Think I've accomplished that?  LOL  The papers are old ones from Kaisercraft.  I"ve really been trying to use up my older paper pads.  I added a Tim Holtz clock die cut in the background, but otherwise kept it pretty plain and simple.

I'd love for you to come play along with my "Whimsical" challenge.  There are lots of great images in Mo's store that will fit the bill and there's a $5.00 gift voucher up for grabs.
     Have a fabulous Thursday!

Stamps--Mo's Digital Pencil "Hatter"
