Snow Dance

Gasp!  Can you believe it?  A Christmas card!  I'm horribly bad about putting off my Christmas card making til the season is upon us. So what prompted me to create this one?...last weeks Stamping Bella photo inspiration.

inspiration 8-July-25

I've used Stamping Bella's "Frostier".  There has been so much buzz in the crafting world over water coloring lately I decided to give it a try on this image.  I really like how it turned out.  I used Distress inks to color with.
This is my first time using the poinsettia die.  It's hard to see in the photo but I covered the holly berries with Glossy Accents.

Hope you enjoyed the card.  You can find those of my team mates over at Blogabella.
Here's the challenge for next week's Bellarific Friday.

Challenge time at Mo's Digital Pencil!  This time my wonderful DT Sistah Anja has chosen a them of "Things with Wings"  Mo has SO many images with wings it won't be hard for you to find one to play along with.  I've used "Purl" on my card.
I started by creating a base of paper squares that I sewed around for a quilted effect.  All that work and most of it got covered up.  LOL  I added some canvas ribbon and bling as well as buttons, vellum butterflies, and some die cuts to dress up the card.

Let's twist again

Isn't she a hoot!  This little koala is a Christine Grove creation from Stamping Bella.  Yep, it's Bellarific Friday again at Blogabella.  Please excuse the purple button.  It matches the card IRL.  Last weeks challenge was this fun sketch.

sketch-14---july-18

I got quite a chuckle yesterday morning when I read Emily's Stamping Bella post on Facebook.  She described the sketch as elegant.  I smiled, looked at my card, and well.....had to giggle a little bit.  Elegant is not a word that would have come to mind for my card.  LOL  I mean, just look at her!  Energetic, determined, and cute yes, but elegant....who knows.  Maybe koala's have a different standard of elegance.

I did give her a bit of bling with my Wink of Stella pen.  I love the sparkle it adds, but it's so hard to capture it in a photo.

Copics Used:
bear C00, C2, C4, C6, C8, W1, W3, W5, N5, E00, E93, R20
clothing BG11, BG53, BG57, V12,  V93, V95, V99

Next weeks challenge is a Christmas theme.  It is July after all.

Something new every day

This has been one BUSY week around here and I'm not talking about how many posts I've made.  LOL
Today is Bellarific Friday and the theme from last week's challenge was "Celebrate Good Times".  Like my sentiment says, I think there's something to celebrate in every day.  I've used Stamping Bella's "Flower Garden" for my card and for a change drug out my Derwent watercolor pencils to try a little watercoloring.  There's also a tiny bit of Stickles here and there for some glimmer.

You can find all my teammates creations over at Blogabella.  The new challenge is a sketch.

SugarPea Designs Sweet Sneaks-Day 4

Welcome to the last day of Sweet Sneak peeks from SugarPea Designs and my last card as a Design Team member.  This is such an awesomely talented team and it's been a pleasure to be one of the original DT member for Wendy's stamps
This set just thrilled me when I saw it.  It's SUPER cute and it's called Spare Me.

I kept my design pretty simple but used several of the stamps in the set to create a sign in the fashion of the old bowling alleys.  The light blue base, red sparkles, and teal diamonds were all embossed.  I outlined the blue base in black and added die cut letters to the diamonds, backing them with black cardstock.
